(Hot!) Casting GYPSY / B'WAY

Richard Frankel Productions is casting Gypsy. Choreographer: Bonnie Walker. Rehearsals begin Jan 28; opens B'way March 27, 2008. Seeking adult male dancers, ages 18+, jazz, basic tap, high baritones & tenors sing to an A; boy dancers, age 8-12, dance well, basic tap a plus, belt voices, sing to E in head voice. If you play an instrument (anything except drums or piano) bring it to audition; female dancers, ages 18+, basic jazz, sing extremely well, strong high belts; (role of Rose has been cast.) Be warmed up, ready to dance when call begins. Men/boys bring jazz shoes or sneakers. Women, bring character shoes with a heel. Some may be asked to stay & sing after all have danced. Prepare 16 bars of standard, bright, brassy traditional showtune (by Jule Styne or in genre of). $1,509 wk/min. Equity Broadway Production Contract. Bring pic/rés, stapled together.
