N. HOLLYWOOD AUD

An all-singing, all-dancing celebration of the 1930s and 1940s. Director/Choreographer: Lance Roberts. Rehearsals start Mar. 28, 2008. Performances run Apr. 10-May 18, 2008. Seeking soprano, ages 20s-30s, Doris Day/Rita Hayworth type with sass, belt a plus; alto, ages 20s-30s, Lena Horne/Bessie Smith type with brass; tenor, ages 20s-30s, Harry Connick Jr./Frank Sinatra type, tap a plus; baritone, ages 20s-30s, Cab Calloway/Joe Williams type. All ethnic groups encouraged to attend, should have strong solo voices, the ability to sing tight harmonies like the Manhattan Transfer, and be able to dance. Prepare a song appropriate to the character, music from the show or the Big Band Era okay. Females, wear dance heels. Equity Dinner Theatre Contract $800 wk/min. Bring pic/rés.
